KATHMANDU, AUGUST 10

With the steady rise in daily reported Covid-19 cases in Kathmandu valley, authorities have decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory period further, till August 24.

The current prohibitory order is set to expire on August 11 at midnight.

A meeting of Chief District Officers of three districts of Kathmandu valley held on Tuesday decided to extend the restrictive orders while clamping new regulatory measure on vehicular movement.

As a strict reaction to the increased flow of traffic during night time, the meeting has decided to limit the plying of the vehicles on the valley roads till 8:00 pm every day.

According to authorities, movement of all vehicles has been banned after 8 pm, except for emergencies.

However, the meeting has kept other restrictions as per earlier arrangements.
