KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 260,000 was stolen from a rented room in Budhanilakantha of Kathmandu on Saturday while the tenant was asleep in the room.

An unidentified gang of thieves barged into the room of Samjhana Tamang (21) in Bhangal, Budhanilakantha-3 through a window and made off with gold ornaments and cash, according to police.

Tamang was asleep during the incident, police said.

While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into the case.
