Protest heat on Valley DAOs

KATHMANDU: The leaders and cadre of the U CPN (Maoist) organised a sit-in protest at all three District Administration Offices of the valley from 10 am to 12 am on Wednesday. They have been organising peaceful protests throughout the nation for past few weeks.

The protesters staged sit-in, chanting anti-president slogans and disrupted all the activities of the offices during their protest.

CA member Jhakku Prasad Subedi, and Valley in-charge of YCL Chandra Bahadur Thapa ‘Sagar’ had lead the protest programme in Kathmandu.

The Maoists have been demanding for the correction of the ‘unconstitutional move’ of president Dr Ram Baran Yadav to reinstate Army Chief Rookmangud Katawal. The Maoists had also demanded their sankalpa prastav against the president for registration at the Legislature-Parliament for debate but the speaker already declined their demand.
