PM Dahal directs officials to make PAF more effective

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) officials to run the institution in an effective manner.

While addressing the 64th meeting of PAF today, PM Dahal referred to his endorsement of the programme 'Government for the Poor', on the very first day of his office and directed the officials to implement the programme.

On the occasion, PAF Vice-Chairman Yuvaraj Pandey shared that PM Dahal directed the PAF officials to make PAF programmes more effective by developing strategic plans.

On the occasion, PAF Executive Director Nahakul KC shared the activities and future plans of PAF.

PAF has been serving 800,000 poor families through 30,000 community organisations. The Fund so far has invested over Rs 18.53 billion for last 13 years in the poverty alleviation sector.
