RJP-N not to take part in second phase of local polls

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal (RJP-N) has reiterated its stance to escape the second phase of the local level polls until the Constitution was amended.

The party has also accused the major political parties of not being sincere to the demands of the Madhesi community.

At an interaction programme here today, member of the party presidium Rajendra Mahato said that his party would not join the second phase of the local level polls scheduled for June 28 adding that the government has not urged his party to put back the polls in Province 2.

"We will not take part in the polls without constitution amendment," he added.
