Robbery in Suryabinayak
Bhaktapur, March 27:
A group of four people today robbed around Rs 4.8 lakh at gunpoint from Nagarik Multipurpose Cooperatives Society at Suryabinayak this morning.
The chief of the cooperative said though he was in a room next to the one where the robbery took place, he didn’t come to know what was happening.
According to inspector at the Metropolitan Police Sector, Jagati, Govinda Singh Thakuri, said the cash was looted at gunpoint after tying the five staffers, including the security guard, inside a room and locking the door.
The guard also sustained minor injury when the robbers hit him with the butt of the gun, Kisi said.
