KATHMANDU: Police on Wednesday arrested a Russian national in possession of eight gram hashish from the Tribhuvan International Airport of Kathmandu.

Ilena Dajhin (name transcribed), holding the passport number 64 N 9063189, was about to board a Qatar Airways flight (QR 653) for Moscow while police arrested him today.

Police had nabbed him from the hold baggage checking area at the international departure terminal.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau for further investigation and action.
