KATHMANDU, JANUARY 26

The SET Council, a prominent club of St Xavier's College in Maitighar, has announced its 1st SXC Walkathon, a community driven effort aimed at promoting health and community spirit. Scheduled to take place on January 27, the walkathon will commence from SXC Maitighar, Kathmandu by 7:00am.

The primary objective of the 1st SXC Walkathon is to raise funds for Hami Nepal, a youth-led non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the less fortunate in Nepal. Each step taken during the walkathon represents a direct contribution to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

The walkathon is expected to pave the way for embarking on a cultural walk through the rich heritage of Patan Durbar where a vibrant flashmob will showcase the diverse culture and traditions of our society. The walkathon route provides the participants with a unique opportunity to connect with their cultural roots. For a nominal amount of Rs 250 per ticket, participants can join this meaningful initiative. The 1st SXC Walkathon emphasises inclusivity so as to ensure that the people of all age groups can participate in the event.

Trash collection as well as vlog competitions are going to be held. The winners will receive exciting gift hampers. The event will also feature business stalls, food stalls and music in a bid to create a vibrant atmosphere for the participants. Every participant is set to receive a medal, certificate, t-shirt and refreshments, all included in the ticket fee.
