Suspected teenage drug peddler held from Nagdhunga

KATHMANDU: A teenager has been held in possession of large cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Naagdhunga of Chandragiri Municipality-2 on Thursday, police said.

The teenager was held with large cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs during a routine security check at Naagdhunga, an entry point in Chandragiri Municipality-2, on the western outskirts of Kathmandu, according to police.

A police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Sector Naagdhunga had intercepted a bus (Lu 1 Kha 8767) heading to Kathmandu from Bhairahawa of Rupandehi district in the area.

Police seized 125 ampoules of Nurofen, Phenergan, Dizapam each and 150 ampoules of Nitrodezpam hidden inside the bag of a teenager.

Meanwhile, police said investigation is underway.

It has been learned that the teenager might have been allegedly involved in drug smuggling into the Capital city.
