NA's IED disposal unit called in to inspect
KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 28
A suspicious object has been found near the Federal Parliament building situated in New Baneshwar on Monday afternoon.
A pressure cooker with 'No MCC' written on it was found in the street section infront of the parliament's gates.
The area was cordoned off by security personnel on finding the suspicious object.
Nepali Army's IED/bomb disposal unit has been informed of the incident and is said to be on way to inspect the object.
Likewise, a similar suspicious object was also found earlier in the day in Banepa, which was disposed by NA personnel.
Several fringe communist parties had called for Nepal Banda (general strike) on Monday against ratification of Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact by federal parliament on Sunday night.
