BHAKTAPUR: A 17-year-old girl reportedly committed suicide on Sunday after the Grade XII results were published.

The deceased has been identified as Anuja Mishra of Sirutaar, Anantalingeshwor Municipality – 8 in Bhaktapur district.

Mishra was found hanging from the ceiling last night, the Metropolitan Police Range, Thimi said.

Mishra had taken the examinations in May last year under the Science stream. She might have taken her life after failing the exams, said police.

Meanwhile, her body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
