Thefts reported in Valley
KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 1.15 million was stolen from an unattended rented room in Buddhanagar, KMC-10 on Sunday.
A mobile set, a 21-tola gold necklace and Rs 101,000 cash were robbed from the rented room of Navaraj Bohora (29), a permanent resident of Naraku-4, Dolpa.
Similarly, laptops of different brands worth Rs 350,000 were stolen from Ritika International Pvt Ltd, Putalisadak on Sunday evening. The shop was owned by Dinesh Raj Pant of Dhangadhi.
Meanwhile, police have nabbed a 32-year-old man while he was attempting to steal property from a house in Koteswor, KMC-35 today.
Devendra Karki, a permanent resident of Makawanpur, was held while trying to burgle the rented room of Shitala Tamang (28) at Phulbari Marga, Koteswor, KMC-35. Locals held Karki under their control and handed him to police.
Further investigation is underway, said police.
