The third convention of the Tribhuvan University Teachers’ Association (TUTA) is scheduled to be held on December 26-27 in Kathmandu. At a press meet on Monday, the association said it will set up the Hariraj Padak Fund to commemorate the contribution of Hari Raj Adhikari, an associate professor of the TU, who died during Jana Andolan II. With the fund money, a gold medal will be awarded to the top scorer in MPhil (management faculty) every year. Meanwhile, five senate representatives of the TU — Prof Chiranjivi Sharma, associate professors Basanta Kaji Shrestha, Amar Kanta Jha, Purushottam Shrestha and Menaka Shrestha — were elected on Monday.
