Three held for black marketing of petro products
KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in illegal trading of petroleum products.
Two persons were arrested on the charge of black marketing of petrol and kerosene from Nagarjun of Kathmandu on Thursday.
The arrestees have been identified as Palta Chaudhary (50) and Rekha Lepcha (17) of Parsa district, currently living at Basyal Tole of Nagarjun Municipality-5.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Swayambhu arrested them with 250 litres of petrol and 90 litres of kerosene.
Meanwhile, police have arrested driver of a mini truck (Ga 1 Kha 3008) for smuggling of petrol products.
Police have arrested Nawaraj Ghalan (29) from Dudhpokhari of Dolakha district with 2,002 litres of diesel.
In the preliminary phase of investigation, police found that Ghalan had brought diesel for Bhaktapur Bagmati Mata and Fix Brick Industry.
