KATHMANDU: Police said that they arrested three persons red-handed for selling marijuana on a roadside in Sundhara of Lalitpur-6 on Saturday.

Bardan Dahal (18) from Makawanpur, Basanta Tiwari aka Gunjack (22) from Nuwakot and Dilip GC aka Khaire (22) from Nuwakot were arrested with 300 grams of contraband.

They were currently residing in various places of Lalitpur district.

The preliminary investigation showed that the trio used to wrap the cannabis in papers and sell them to school and college students at Rs 250 a packet.

Production, trade and consumption of marijuana is banned in Nepal.
