Three nabbed with brown heroin, opium from Tokha

KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested three drug smuggling suspects with 11 grams of brown heroin and three grams of opium from Shanti Chok, Tokha-13 in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The arrestees are 32-year-old Narayan Kumar Giri of Ilam, 34-year-old Bhim Bahadur Niraula and 45-year-old Tek Nath Khatiwada of Jhapa.

The trio had brought the drugs to Kathmandu via the Kakadbhitta border point on an Indian water tanker, the Narcotics Control Bureau of Nepal Police added.

The trio had used some drugs by themselves and saved something for trade, police added.

The NCB is further looking into the case.
