KATHMANDU: A man died after an electricity utility pole fell down on him, in Tikathali of Lalitpur on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Shrestha of Tikathali-10.

The pole is said to have fallen down when a truck (Na 6 Kha 3232) hit it, which accidentally fell down on Shrestha, who was riding on his motorcycle (Ba 49 Pa 2040).

The incident took place at around 9 last night.

Police have detained the truck driver, identified as Ram Aadhar Chaudhary(26) of Sundarpur, Sarlahi, for further investigation.
