TJ laws will be amended: PM Oli
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said on Tuesday the government would make necessary legal and structural amendments to make effective two transitional justice mechanisms—Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons.
Issuing a message on the occasion of the 71st International Human Rights Day, Oli expressed commitment towards human rights and transitional justice, and said victims would get justice.
He said the government was committed to not allowing human rights violation, and in the event of rights violation, the culprits would be brought to book and victims would be compensated and justice delivered.
“Human rights is not only a matter of commitment for us, but also a matter of our belief and dedication,” he said.
