Top leaders hold meeting to end House obstruction
KATHMANDU: Top leaders of major political parties have held a meeting today to end the deadlock in the Legislature-Parliament.
During the meeting held at the office of Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar, the leaders are learnt to have focused their concerns to resume the House business by ending the longstanding House disruption, said Personal Secretary of Speaker, Suraj Kumar Dura.
The Madhes-centric political parties are disrupting the House business by putting forth their demands for long.
It is said that discussions were held to resume the House business by taking the United Democratic Madhesi Morcha into confidence.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress leader Mahesh Acharya and NC chief whip Chinkaji Shrestha were present at the meeting.
Currently, top leaders of major political parties and leaders affiliated to Morcha are holding parleys at the Legislature-Parliament building.
