Two beaten up

KATHMANDU: Former ward chairman of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Gopal Pundit, was seriously injured after he was reportedly manhandled by some locals including one Raju Thapa, a resident of Kumarigaal.

Fifty-five -year-old Pundit, a resident of the KMC-7, has been admitted to the TU Teaching Hospital (TUTH) where he is in a critical condition. Police have apprehended Thapa.

Likewise, Krishna Sapkota, a resident of KMC-5, was severely injured when a group of 10-12 persons beat him up with an iron rod. He too has been admitted to the TUTH teaching hospital.
