Two youth held with pistol from New Bus Park area

KATHMANDU: Police said they arrested two youth, including a teenager, after a pistol was found from one of their possession from New Bus Park area in Kathmandu on Sunday evening.

The suspects have been identified as 25-year-old Kumar Thapa Lamichhane, a permanent resident of Rasuwa district, and 17-year-old Yuvaraj Lama, a permanent resident of Sindhupalchok district. Both of them are said to be currently residing in Kathmandu.

A team of police deputed from the Metropolitan Police Sector, Balaju, found the lethal weapon during security check of a taxi (Ba 1 Ja 4434) at the bridge over Bishnumati River opposite to the New Bus Park yesterday, according to the Nepal Police headquarters.

Police said they are looking into the case.
