Inspector General Aryal off to UK
KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Nepal Police Upendra Kant Aryal on Saturday left for the United Kingdom on a week-long visit.
Leading a four-member delegation, IG Aryal is visiting the UK upon invitation from the Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC).
AIG Bigyan Raj Sharma, DIG Devendra Subedi and SSP Rajendra Man Shrestha are other members of the team.
Senior police officials saw the team off at the Tribhuvan International Airport today.
According to Nepal Police Headquarters, the Nepali team will review the Modernisation and Improvement of Policing Project, being conducted by Nepal Police with the financial assistance from the UK Department for International Development and will study the HMIC's coordinating and monitoring role in the British federal system.
During the visit, Aryal will hold meetings with senior police officials in London, according to police.
