Kathmandu, April 9
Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu recently hosted "Virtual Thai Education Fair in Nepal". It started in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic and finally came to an end.
According to the Embassy's statement they had to change the modality of the fair from 'physical to virtual' in accordance to the current situation. Following the past trend of the event, the fair aimed to provide objective information to parents, guardians and students about the educational opportunities in Thailand.
Ten higher education institutions (Assumption University, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Mae Fah Luang University, Dhurakij Pundit University, Prince of Songkla University, Suranaree University of Technology, Walailak University, Asian Institute of Technology, Dusit Thani College and Chulalongkorn University) from Thailand took part in the fair. Through Facebook live sessions, representatives from different Thai Universities/Colleges shared the information about variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, admission procedure and scholarship opportunities for Nepalese students. During the fair, students and parents had access to hold an in-depth interaction with the participating university/college through Facebook messages and comments.
The organizer team said that the virtual fair was successful to connect more than 10,000 Nepalese students with Thai universities and colleges. They further suggested watching the recorded live sessions and get updated information about Thai Education from Facebook page 'Thai Education Fair 2021" . Furthermore interested students can also grab additional information from regular posts and updates in the page, the statement added.
