BHAKTAPUR: A woman's decomposed body was found inside a jute sack at Bode in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality – 2 of Bhaktapur.

According to DSP Shyam Baby Oliya of the Metropolitan Police Cirlce, Thimi, the body of the woman, who appeared to be in her mid 20s, was found at an inner road leading towards a field from a major road linking Bode and Mulpani.

Police suspect that the woman with bruises in her head could have been murdered and dumped in such an isolated location.

The woman is not a local and her identity is yet to be ascertained.

The case has been handed over to the crime division for further investigation, according to Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi.

Locals informed the police on Saturday after they found the woman’s head protruding from the jute sack in the field.
