WSPGN urges talks with agitating forces

KATHMANDU: The Women Security Pressure Group Nepal has appealed to the government and all the protesting parties to sort out the ongoing political issues through dialogue. Issuing a press statement here on Monday, WSPGN said that problems faced by common Nepali citizens due to the ongoing protest in Tarai region and the blockade has drawn their attention. “Many mothers have already lost their children. Many women, children and senior citizens have been affected due to protest in the Tarai region,” said Sabitri Thapa, president WSPGN in the statement. The risk of women trafficking has also increased because of political instability and internal crisis, it said. “We would like to request all protesters and concerned authorities not to engage in any activity that will harm the sovereignty, unity and diversity of the Nepali people,” added Thapa.
