Yadav parleys with Swiss minister

Kathmandu, March 5:

Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav held bilateral meeting with his Swiss counterpart Micheline Calmy-Rey, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

“During the meeting, the two ministers discussed on areas of cooperation for the promotion and protection of human rights and expressed satisfaction on the commonality of views on many issues of human rights in the Council,” said a statement issued here by the Foreign Ministry.

The statement added that the two ministers discussed matters of mutual interests and cooperation. Nepal and Switzerland have maintained cordial and friendly bilateral relations for as many as 50 years.

Similarly, Yadav also had a bilateral meeting with British Minister for Asia, Africa and the UN Mark Malloch. Wide range of issues of mutual interests were discussed in the meeting.
