Who would you want to see flaunting your designs?

Astha Pokharel — the perfect supermodel for me and Kate Middleton because she has an amazing personality! I would love to design a ceremonial dress for her.

What sets you apart from other fashion designers today?

I prioritise comfort and that’s what sets me apart. And, I love colours and inculcate different hues in my designs.

You aspire to become?

Coco Channel and revolutionise fashion.

Colourful Inspiration

Designer Sonu Shrestha has showcased her designs in runways and various fashion shows. Her designs are inspired from vibrant colours and from women who express themselves through their clothes.

The blue and white gown is inspired by cloudy skies for a delicate look.

What makes you stand out among other designers?

My designs are simple but not lacking in elegance and I believe this is what makes me stand out.

A perfect outfit for a lunch date. Long green skirt crafted with fine silk teamed with mixed cotton and yellow ochre floral crop top.

Simply Chic

The designer has used satin for the crop top and paired it with a floral printed midi skirt for an

Fusion Fashion

Sujan Moktan Lama’s love for clothes led him to the world of fashion. His designs were showcased in Miss Grand International 2013 for National Costume and he has been a part of major fashion events in the country. His inspirations are Hindu goddesses and Barbie dolls.

From the collection ‘Dances with God’ this contemporary lehenga is designed using organza and silk fabric with pleats highlighting Mughal designs.

The Barbie Dress

A tribute to Barbie, the designer uses pastel blue and soft pink hues on satin, organza ribbon with detailed Swarovski craft.
