Your past experience with TGIF Nepal Fashion Week and your expectations this year

I have been associated with the show for the last four innings. It has been a wonderful experience and each year the show gets better and bigger. This year I am looking forward to the show to step up to the international standard.

Your collection this year

Every year I try to present something different. Art and architecture has always been the inspiration for my designs, this time I draw my inspirations from early spring in Kashmir. It will have the essence of precursory gush of white snow and blooming green almond blossoms, cherry buds, pear and apple herald it. My collections will consist of formal and semi-formal outfits with straight silhouette. I am using fabrics like linen with cotton, net and Kashmiri hand embroidery (crewel embroidery).

Why should clients purchase your collection?

The crewel embroidery makes my designs stand out and lends a royal touch to each piece.  Moreover, it is different and one will love it, as it has early spring colours; the beautiful hues will brighten up your mood.

This motivated me to bring about a change in the Nepali fashion industry. It is really exciting to be a part of TGIF Nepal Fashion Week again. I am hopeful the show will be bigger and I’ll get more exposure for my brand.

Your collection

This time my collection is inspired by high-fashion style. It will have seductive appeal that symbolises the bold appeal of strong trend-savvy woman. My collection will consist of red carpet dresses and party wear of different cuts and silhouettes like flares, A-line slits, drapes and tube designs.  I have used lycra with special threadwork and encompassed hand embroidery. Moreover, I have played with a lot of vibrant colours.

Why should clients purchase your collection?

This time my designs have intricate threadwork, exhibiting a classy red carpet appeal. I am excited and hopeful my collection will get a lot of appreciation from the audience. Also my designs are bold and sexy, so one should really try it.
