TGIF-Nepal Fashion Week: Know your designers

Gowns, jumpsuits, traditional wear to swimwear, the designers taking part in the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022 are all set to cater to all kinds of the needs of fashionistas.
It will be a spectacle of elegance and glamour, as well as creativity inspired from nature.
Nude presents The Himalayan Times TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022 in association with Carlsberg and Agni Group and coloured by Asian Paints is scheduled for September 22-24 at Hyatt Regency Kathmandu. Farmasi is the make-up partner of the event supported by FYMO and Hyatt Regency Kathmandu.

Elegance and glamour

All about the collection
Our design is all about elegance and glamour as a result of the usage of vibrant colours such as yellowish-white, silver, blue, yellow, and black among others that were inspired by starlight. We will showcase 10 designs - eight gowns and two jumpsuits - in TGIF Nepal Fashion Week. The gown comprises a ball gown, mermaid gown, and bodycon gown. Due to the simplicity of the fabric used, our design is modest. Clothes are made with fabrics like silk and knit.
Being a part of TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022
Being its part will help me gain fame and exposure on a global scale. My dream has always been to participate in the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week and present my collection. A fantastic human network and connections will also be formed for me during the event, which will host many notable individuals. Through this event, we and our designs will be strengthened and we will learn many things about fashion and design.

All about the collection
This collection, Sandhya Kalin Bagaicha Tahal, honours my mentor Sandhya, who introduced me to gardening and flowers. There are many flowers embroidered in our designs, giving every piece of clothing a floral look. Our clothing is decorated with roses, sunflowers, birds of paradise, jasmine, and hydrangea flowers among others.
Even though our collection is on evening Indo-western clothing, each item is versatile because it can be worn on a variety of occasions, both day and night. I have done hand embroidery in the fabrics - knit, silk, georgette, spaten and organza. Our designs include concept saris, lehengas, kaftan, sarara pants, anarkalis, capes, suruwals, and kurtas in varieties of colours such as black, white and red. The total of 11 designs will be showcased at the TGIF Nepal fashion week. Gold-plated necklaces and earrings, as well as polki diamonds, are used as accessories.
Being a part of TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022
I am taking part in the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022 for the first time. It is a prestigious and well-managed fashion event. It has always been a platform for gifted artists to display their creative side and get promoted to a larger market. I completed all of the clothing's details myself since I am very passionate about my collection and TGIF Nepal Fashion Week. I am honoured to have been chosen to exhibit my works alongside other talented and dedicated individuals at the TGIF Nepal Fashion Week.
Bold and confident in swimwear

All about the collection
Our design has focussed on both genders. Male and female models equally can display their confidence in swimwear. Our swimwear is made from incredibly stretchy and breathable materials, such as spandex and lycra, mixed with frills and flounce for swimsuits. Georgette and rayon are fabrics used. Because the vivid colours are polychrome in designs, colours like navy blue, white, red, magenta, and orange are used to give bold looks. We will present 15 designs, 10 for women and five for men.
Being a part of TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2022
It has always been the biggest platform for all creative people who can bring their vision into reality. I have an opportunity to represent my creativity in front of audiences and explore more knowledge. I believe TGIF Fashion Week's return is timely because the venue itself has a lot to offer, and it is an honour for us to be a part of it.

All about the collection
Our collection takes its cue from the serendipitous beauty of a lush garden located on the grounds of a beautiful Ottoman- Persian palace, where royal pink roses bloom on a starry night.
The collection consists of western silhouettes, and each piece is a dark rose pink colour. The clothing is made from materials including knit, velvet, and russell.
There will be a total of 10 designs on display; eight of them will be worn by female models and two by male models.

It is the only premium platform where fashion designers and those in connected fields exhibit their creativity and perspective. It is a good chance to forge special connections with a variety of cross-disciplinary members of the fashion industry and to reach out to larger audiences. Overall, it is a gathering in magnificent celebration of the Nepali fashion.
