10-year-old girl rescued from Myagdi river
BABIYACHAUR: Police on Monday rescued a girl who was swept away by a river in Beni of Myagdi district.
Police rescued Mamata Rasaili (10), daughter of Bal Bahadur Rasaili of Muna in Dhawalagiri Rural Municipality-3, currently residing in Haadebhir of Beni Municipality, in the district.
According to police, Rasaili fell into the Myagdi Khola while she was stretching over the bridge to retrieve her fallen slipper yesterday. The river current swept her about 50 metres injuring her.
She was immediately rescued by police, who promptly acted after being notified by onlookers, said police.
Meanwhile, Rasaili is being treated at the Beni Hospital in the district, informed police.
Earlier last month, police had rescued a man who was swept away by Kaligandaki River and stuck in a crevice between two boulders in the river.
