KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 21

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 786,577 on Tuesday with 1,036 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 754,000 with 1830 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,053 with five more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 13,622 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 9,626 were PCR tests while 3,996 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,113,512 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 294 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 1,330.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 95.9 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 21,524.

Currently, there are 250 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 785,541 with 975 people testing positive for the infection.

Globally, over 229 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.7 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 206 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
