KATHMANDU: As many as 11 people were injured, two of them critically, when a jeep they were travelling on skidded off and fell some 12 metres down the gravelled road in Chuhandanda of Terhathum district on Sunday.

According to the Terhathum District Police Office,  the jeep (Me 1 Ja 2385) was heading towards Phidim from Adirai of Terhathum.

All the injured have been rescued and rushed to the Phidim District Hospital for treatment. The identity of the victims are yet to be known, said police.

Police are also searching for the driver who fled the scene after the incident.
