DAMAULI: Police arrested 12 persons on the charge of illegal gambling from a hotel in Shuklagandaki Municipality-7 of Tanahun district on Monday.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided Hirachan Hotel and Lodge in Khairanitar, arrested them red-handed and seized Rs 125,615 from the site, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sunil Malla, Spokesperson of District Police Office, Tanahun.

Police also seized 160 pieces of cards along with cash from the gambling site.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
