Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 730,479 on Saturday with 1,947 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 680,815 with 1,320 discharges logged today.
On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,259 with 20 more fatalities.
As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 13,573 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 8,667 were PCR tests while 4,906 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,740,817 PCR tests have been carried out till date.
Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 677 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,624.
Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 93.2%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 39,405.
So far, a total of 7,977,896 people has received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 4,674,318 have received the first dose while only 3,303,578 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.
Currently, there are 411 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Friday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 728,532 with 2,763 more people testing positive for the infection.
Globally, over 206 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.3 million people have lost their lives to the disease.
Likewise, over 185 million people have recovered while more than 17 million cases are still active.
