KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 19

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 784,566 on Sunday with 656 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 749,213 with 1,413 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,040 with 12 more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 10,013 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,304 were PCR tests while 2,709 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,093,100 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 78 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 734.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 95.5 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 24,313.

Currently, there are 248 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
