Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 765,914 on Thursday with 1,619 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 721,182 with 1,846 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 10,786 with 16 more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 14,650 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 10,658 were PCR tests while 3,992 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,936,416 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 385 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,004.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.2%, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 33,946.

Currently, there are 302 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

In the same time frame, 541 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 152 and 100 cases respectively.

On Wednesday, Nepal's coronavirus caseload had reached 764,295 with 1,648 people testing positive for the infection.

Globally, over 219 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4.5 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 196 million people have recovered while more than 18 million cases are still active.
