Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 646,367 on Tuesday with 1,718 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 612,994 with 1,565 discharges accounted today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll shifted to 9,263 with 15 more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, 12,585 total tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,503 were PCR tests while 5,082 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 3,383,544 PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 916 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 2,634.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.6 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.5%.

The country's active Covid-19 case count has dropped to 25,828 with daily recoveries exceeding daily infections.

In the same time frame, 365 infections were reported in the capital city while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur reported 105 and 29 cases respectively.

So far, a total of 3,371,761 people have received coronavirus vaccine across the country, of which 2,611,807 have received the first dose while only 759,954 individuals have been inoculated with both the doses and are fully vaccinated.

Currently, there are 330 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Monday, Nepal's coronavirus case count had reached 646,367 with 1,745 more people testing positive for the infection.

Globally, over 184 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 4 million people have lost their lives to the disease.

Likewise, over 169 million people have recovered while more than 11 million cases are still active.
