RATNANAGAR: As many as 19 passengers were injured after the bus they were travelling on rammed into a truck from behind in Tikauli jungle area between Ratnanagar and Bharatpur Municipalities of Chitwan on Monday.

According to police, the incident occurred when the speeding bus (Ga 1 Kha 5064) en route from Bharatpur to Tandi rear-ended the truck (Na 5 Kha 1012) heading towards the same direction in the jungle area, yesterday.

The injured including the bus driver were rushed to the Chitwan Medical College where they have been undergoing treatment, informed police.

However, four of the injured are in serious condition, according to District Police Office, Chitwan.

Meanwhile, police have detained the truck driver for further investigation, said police.
