RAUTAHAT: Police recovered bodies of two Indian children in Bagmati River in Rautahat district on Saturday.

The bodies have been identified as of Nanda Kishor Yadav (14) and his brother Lalan (12), sons of Madan Yadav, from neighbouring Susulpur village of India.

Locals had spotted the bodies in the River in Brahmapuri-7 of the district and informed police.

SP Sanubabu Thapaliya of District Police Office said police have already informed the victims’ family about recovery of the bodies.

Preparations are underway to carry out postmortem on the bodies at the District Hospital.

Thapaliya said police are looking into how the bodies arrived in the Nepali land.
