2 killed in separate incidents in Chitwan

RATNANAGAR: As many as two persons died in separate accidents in Chitwan district on Thursday. 

A man died after he was seriously injured while driving a road grader at Chauki Danda of Rapti Municipality-5 in the district.

Prem Bahadur Thapa, resident of Khairhani Municipality in the district, was rushed to Bharatpur-based College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital after he fell around 50 metres below the road in Chauki Danda at 6:00 pm and was critically injured, according to District Police Office, Chitwan.

Thapa died the same night during the course of treatment there, informed police.

Similarly, a man was found dead inside a toilet of National Nature Conservation Trust in Ratnanagar Municipality-6 of the district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as local Budhi Giri (44). Giri was found dead inside the toilet when the door was broken down after he did not come out for an extended time.

Giri presumably fell unconscious inside while relieving himself and died, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Basudev Khatiwada at the Area Police Office, Ratnangar.

The toilet was built for tourists at the museum which displays stuffed hides of animals and birds.

Meanwhile, further investigation into both the cases are undergoing.
