DAMAK: A youth drowned while swimming in an irrigation canal of the Kankai River on Monday afternoon.

According to police, Raju Rai, 22, had gone missing near his house after playing Holi.

The body was found at Satashidham-7, a kilometre downstream from the place he was swimming in.

Likewise, a person died following a motorcycle accident in Nawalparasi on Monday evening.

Manasur Ali Dhoniya, 65, was seriously injured after a motorcycle collided with a truck.

According to the police, Dhoniya breathed his last at Bhairahawa Medical College where he was taken for treatment
