ML4.4 aftershock recorded in Dolakha

KATHMANDU: A light tremor hit Dolakha district on Wednesday morning.

The National Seismological Centre said it recorded the April 25 earthquake's aftershock at 4:51 am. It was of local magnitude 4.4.

Its epicentre lies northeast of the district headquarters, Charikot.

The tremor originated from a location with coordinates 27.64°N, 86.19°E, close to Mirge and Jiri.

With this, the number of significant aftershocks (of local magnitude 4.0 or above) of the devastating April 25 earthquake has reached 389, according to the NSC records.
