GULMI, APRIL 20

A recent survey has recorded 30 new species of birds in Gulmi, taking the district's total bird count to 355.

According to Bird Conservation Nepal, the new species were identified in the Thaple Satyawati forest area. The endemic Spiny Babbler was also recorded in Resunga, Madane and Thaple Satyawati areas.

Other species spotted include Egyptian vulture, Himalayan griffon, golden eagle and Himalayan monal, among others.
