322 new Covid-19 cases registered on Monday; nationwide tally hits 267,644
KATHMANDU: Nepal on Monday reported 322 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 267,644.
Of the total cases, 124 are females while 198 are males.
In the last 24 hours, 163 cases surfaced in Kathmandu valley. The capital hosts the highest number of active cases.
Likewise, 374 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry. As of today, 261,818 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 97.8 per cent.
Nepal’s active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 3,861.
Meanwhile, six more fatalities from the disease have taken the total death-toll to 1,965.
According to the health ministry, 4,306 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,016,758 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 221 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
Globally, more than 95.1 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.03 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19. Likewise, over 67.5 million people have recovered from the disease and nearly 25 million cases are still active.
On Sunday, Nepal’s coronavirus case count reached 267,322 with 266 newly confirmed cases.
