BHOJPUR: As many as four persons were injured after the tractor they were travelling on met with an accident in Bhojpur Municipality-5 of Bhojpur district on Thursday night.

The injured have been identified as Amar Rai (20) and Brihaspati Rai (18) of Tyamkemaiyum Rural Municipality-4, and Manahang Rai (19) of Bhojpur Municipality-1 in the district; and Subash Rai (35) of Letang Municipality-3 in Morang district.

The incident occurred when the tractor (Ko 2 Ta 8664) lost control and plunged around 50 metres below the road in Damsingh at 8:00 pm yesterday, injuring them, according to Provincial Police Office, Province 1, Biratnagar.

According to police, the injured have been undergoing treatment at the District Hospital with two of them being in critical condition.

Meanwhile, District Police Office, Bhojpur has detained the tractor driver for further investigation, said police.
