Nepal on Sunday reported 77 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 275,906.

In the last 24 hours, 34 cases surfaced in Kathmandu district, Lalitpur reported five cases, while two new case was reported from Bhaktapur.

Likewise, 106 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.

As of today, 271,921 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infection. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 969.

The nationwide death-toll stands at 3,016. No Covid-related fatality was reported today.

According to the health ministry, 3,181 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,236,526 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 48 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Saturday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 275,825 with 79 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 123 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.7 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.

Likewise, over 99 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
