KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 11

Nepal's coronavirus caseload reached 802,861 on Monday with 663 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the total coronavirus recoveries stand at 776,831 with 888 discharges logged today.

On the other hand, the countrywide Covid-19 mortality toll increased to 11,243 with 12 more fatalities.

As per the latest data provided by the health ministry, a total of 12,195 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 7,233 were PCR tests while 4,962 were antigen tests. With this, a total of 4,296,171PCR tests have been carried out till date.

Similarly, antigen tests have confirmed 122 positive cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of single-day infections from both the RT-PCR and antigen tests amount to 785.

Nepal's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 96.8 %, while the fatality rate stands at 1.4%. The country's active Covid-19 case count currently is 14,787.

Currently, there are 231 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
