HETAUDA: Three persons were killed and 43 others injured in accidents in Hetauda and Nawalprasi districts today.

Two buses collided in Basamadi-5 of Makwanpur district on the East-West highway. Both the drivers were killed in the collision, Makwanpur District Police Office said. One of the drivers has been identified as Dipendra Adhikari of Chitwan's Padampur.

Eleven passengers, who were critically injured, are undergoing treatment in Bharatpur while the rest are receiving care in Hetauda Hospital.

A report from Nawalparasi said a person was killed in an accident at Dandabazaar on the East-West highway in Nawalparasi district today. Twenty-year-old Buddhiram Mahato was killed when a bus heading to Butwal hit him, police said.
