According to local Tek Bahadur Rokaya, up till now, very few people have taken part in the elections. "Who would bother to walk for days just to cast votes?" asked Rokaya, adding, "Earlier, nobody was concerned about their difficulty if they wanted to vote." Maspur has a total of 23 households with a population of 103. According to data with the district election office, the village has 50 voters. Some other people who too are eligible to cast vote are said to had decided not to vote, given the faraway voting centre.

At present, the nearest polling centre for them is the one located at Kailash Preliminary School near the ward office. It takes one day for them to reach the polling centre, the other day to cast vote and yet another day to return home.
