Various organisations, expressing solidarity with the ongoing democratic movement of the seven political parties, staged demonstrations and rallies today.

The Dang-based Joint Dalit Movement Coordination Committee (JDMCC) staged a rally. Members of the joint committee, Jatiya Samata Samaj, Nepal Rastriya Dalit Mukti Sangathan, Nepal Independent Sewing Union, Nepal Bullion Traders’ Association and Nepal Utpidit Dalit Jatiya Mukti Samaj staged a rally in Ghorahi.

Dalit leaders. including Rima Nepali, Udaya Swanakar, Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma, Pravat Swanakar, Bishnu Dhital and Narayan Prasad Sharma addressed the demonstrators. Meanwhile, the agitating parties and affiliated student unions staged a torch rally in broad daylight in Ghorahi. Tulsipur Commerce and Industries’ Association also staged a rally.
